"The Shuttle Feeder Connection in the bay of Bengal"

Schoeller Holdings Ltd is the main shareholder of Bengal Tiger Line (BTL), incorporated in Hamburg in 1986 and transferred its registry and headquarters to Singapore in 2009.

Deriving its name from the early trading area in the Bay of Bengal where BTL first established its origins as a Common Feeder, today's geographical spread covers from the Far East to the Arabian Gulf, although the core sectors remain within India.

BTL currently operates over 20 scheduled vessels (including VSA partners) with sizes ranging from 900-2700 teus.  It covers multiple sectors, the majority on a twice weekly frequency, whilst maintaining neutrality as a true Common Feeder by accepting only SOC containers, enabling its business model to be kept simple and efficient.

BTL has its own offices in Singapore, India & Sri Lanka with representaives in China and the gulf and long term established Agents.  With a strong 'hands on' Management, it allowed the company to build close relations with clients, ensuring quick responses to changing market requirements.
